Spooks are an Atlanta punk band featuring members of Black Lips, Deerhunter and The Kiwis who dress as ghosts when playing live. The music is pretty Cramps-like. They released an album in 2008 - Death From Beyond the Grave.

Yer man from Dust Bunnies, Adam Bruneau, did these videos.

Dust Bunnies...

....are my latest obsession. A friend of mine told me about them, and I've been hooked since. I don't know a huge deal about them other than what I've read here: One of the main guys in the group is Adam Bruneau who also is a musician/artist/animator/editor/web designer.

Dust Bunnies sound BadalamentiSpectorfuzzChristmas-like. A number of artists have been sampled in the songs, such as JAMC, The Paris Sisters and Cornelius. Kind of gives you an idea of the sound. Their cover of The Velvet Underground's Sunday Morning in particular is opium-drenched gorgeousness.

Have a listen here:

Sunday Morning (Velvet Underground cover)

All My Loving (Beatles cover)

Dream Lover (Bobby Darin cover)

Love Me Tender (Elvis Presley cover)

Hello indeed. My internet time has mostly been wasted recently. Lots of time just spent browsing and arsing about rather than doing. I used to use Myspace to inform, but alas I've been neglecting it for some time now. Largely in part due to the fact that MySpace seems to be dying a shit spattered mess of a death anyway. So, here I am Internet World, take two.
